igotout and Tears of Eden put together Story Jam 2023 at the Comedy Improv Club in St. Louis Missouri.
When I agreed to be on stage I had no idea that my performance of a poetic synopsis of my memoir, A Slice of Orange, would be the opening act!
Here is a brief snippet of my poem, My Journey in the Cultiverse.
It was an honor to be on stage with the likes of Shanny Pants and Jon Snow and many other ex-cult folks I had only met on social media. I bought memoirs from Lisa Kohn, and Sarah Edmonson and was gifted with Gerette Buglion’s journal, Writing to Reckon. Story Slam was a creative feast put together by kind and gentle people concerned with cult recovery and healing trauma.
